  26. This command creates a new SmartSlides lecture, 
  27. i.e. a (specialized) new HyperCard stack. Initially, this stack will contain just two slides: a blank slide on which you can begin working immediately, and a final slide. When a new lecture is first created, a share-ware notice will appear. After reading the notice and acting appropriately, you can click on the notice to hide it. It will stay hidden until you ask for it again from the menubar.

Also, when a new lecture is first created the blank slide will have the command buttons visible. If you prefer to have these buttons hidden, simply click on the windowshade icon, or use the menu command HIDE TOOLS. The final slide (the second of the two created with every lecture) serves a special purpose in SmartSlides, and should not be deleted. It will normally remain the last slide of your lecture. You may wish to put some final message, or an appropriate graphic image, on this final card to help make it clear to you and/or your audience that this is the end of the presentation.
